Valentines Plans

Valentine's Day is approaching, so it's time to put together your plans before it's too late! Whether you're planning for your spouse, boyfriend/girlfriend, or friends, there are many options here in Southwest Florida. Here are a few ideas for Valentine's Day dates in the area: 

Escape Rooms: If you haven't been to an escape room before, this would be a fun and unconventional date night for any couple who appreciates solving mysteries or puzzles. You'll be locked in a room to race against the clock and solve a mystery. Escape the Cape Escape Rooms in Cape Coral and Escape Room Adventures in Fort Myers both have excellent Google ratings. 

Cooking class: Learn a new recipe and enjoy some great food at a local cooking class. It's a fun activity for a date night, girls' night, or night out with friends. Check out Kitchen Social, Chef's In Progress and Sur La Table for their schedule of cooking classes. 

Recreational Golf: If you and your date enjoy golfing, try a night out playing golf and enjoying some food. Try Topgolf for a high-tech golf game or Pop Strokes for putt-putt golf. They both have premier golfing facilities and restaurants. 

Beach: For a simple Valentine's date, take in the sunrise at Lighthouse Beach in Sanibel or the sunset at Bowditch Point on Fort Myers Beach. Grab a blanket and some snacks and enjoy the beautiful beaches in Southwest Florida. 

 Dinner: Southwest Florida has many excellent fine dining options that provide a classic Valentine's date experience. Many restaurants will be putting out special menus for the evening. The Silver King Ocean Brasserie, located on the first floor of the Luminary Hotel in Downtown Fort Myers, has a special menu featuring dishes such as Duck Breast, NY Strip, Red Snapper, and several desserts, including Chocolate Mousse and Pistachio Cake. The Oxbow Bar & Grill in Downtown Fort Myers also serves a special Valentine's menu with a choice of a 3-course dinner at $140 per couple, with items such as Lobster Bisque, Surf & Turf, and champagne-infused cheesecake.
